This is EASILY one of the most common questions I get from DFW couples during booking, and honestly, it makes total sense! Between getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, and the reception, wedding days move so fast, and figuring out how much coverage you need can feel like a lot.
So let’s break it down together!!
It Really Depends on Your Timeline
Every wedding day looks different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but most of my couples find that 6 to 10 hours of coverage gives them the fullest, most relaxed experience. Here’s a general vibe check based on my packages!
4 Hours: POV: Just Married
This one’s perfect for elopements, courthouse weddings, or a shorter celebration! If your day isn’t the full getting-ready-to-reception timeline, this is your fit.
6 Hours: POV: Something Blue
Great if you want coverage from getting ready or the ceremony through the early part of your reception, without going the whole day!
8 Hours: POV: Forever & Always
This tends to work so well for couples who want coverage from getting ready through dinner and the start of dancing!
10 Hours: POV: Endless Love
My most popular package!! This covers nearly your entire day, from getting ready all the way through the dance floor, no clock-watching required!
12 Hours: POV: The Ultimate Love Story
For couples who want it ALL captured, from the very first getting-ready shots to the sparkler exit, this one leaves nothing behind!
A Few Questions to Ask Yourself
If you’re still torn on which package fits your day, here’s what I’d think through:
What time does your getting-ready process start, and do you want that on camera?
Is your reception ending with a big send-off you don’t want to miss?
Are there specific trends, songs, or moments you’re dreaming of capturing?
Is your venue more than 30 minutes from Denton, Texas? If so, factor travel time into the mix!

Beyond your base package hours, there are so many fun ways to make your coverage even more personal! A Polaroid album gives you a same-night keepsake, a camcorder rental lets your guests get in on the fun, and a Social Takeover means your Instagram Story stays active and full of tagged moments all day long, no phone required on your end!!
You can also add extra hours any time, which is perfect if you want coverage for your engagement session or bridal portraits too!
